Large knife used in store raid

TWO men have been arrested after an armed robbery at a convenience store in a Kent town.

Police were called to the Londis shop in Cherry Tree Avenue, Dover, at 8.40pm last night.

A man threatened staff with a large knife and stole a pack of cigarettes.

At 12.50am today police arrested a 38-year-old man from Dover and a 33-year-old man from Liverpool on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery.

They are currently being questioned at Dover police station.

No-one was injured during the incident.
