White paint leaked from a lorry covers three miles of road across Dover and Whitfield

A messy trail of white paint believed to have spilled from a lorry has covered three miles of road.

The spillage which covers railings, roads and pavements in Dover starts from the Folkestone Road roundabout before continuing up Priory Road and all the way along the A256 London Road.

It then continues up Whitfield Hill to the Whitfield Roundabout near McDonald’s and turns back on itself on the A2 towards Dover.

It appears to stop after a couple of hundred yards although some residents say they have seen patches as far as Sandwich.

It’s understood to have spilled from a leaking lorry travelling through the town last night.

“We’ve gone from Tower Hamlets to Whitfield and it seems to be most of the way up, some places are worse than others.”

Kent Highways has been approached for comment.
