Three people in hospital following crash on A258 between Dover and Deal

Three people have been taken to hospital following a crash involving two cars at a junction.

Emergency services, including fire, ambulance and police, were called to the scene between Dover and Deal at 7.30pm last night.

The incident happened on the A258 at the junction of Station Road and Deal Road, close to St Margaret's at Cliffe.

Firefighters used specialist tools to remove the roof from one one of the vehicles and free one person trapped inside.

A fire service spokesman said: "Two fire engines attended, and crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof of a car and rescue one person who was trapped inside."

Once freed, they were passed into the care of paramedics.

All three people were taken to hospital after being treated at the scene.
