A man is undergoing surgery for stab wounds after an attack in a Kent town centre this morning.

The 24-year-old is in a critical condition after being assaulted at 2.25am in London Road, Dover.

Police would like to speak to a man who was seen in Tower Hamlets Road junction area of the town.

He is a white man, in his mid to late twenties, of stocky build with a Scottish accent.

He has short dark hair and was wearing dark coloured shorts.

Bloodstained

His clothing is likely to have been blood-stained.

The road where the attack took place remains closed while police complete forensic enquiries.

Traffic is diverted from the High Street into Bridge Street, to rejoin London Road at Beaconsfield Road.
