It is thought she also attended the harbour area of the town over the bank holiday weekend.

Now, officers have revealed a CCTV image which they hope may prompt anyone who has not yet spoken to police to come forward.

The footage shows Leah in a darkcoloured ‘Parka’ style coat, patterned leggings, 'Converse' style trainers and carrying a black sports backpack, with her hair pinned up in a bun.

It was captured in Tontine Street in the town centre at 3.35pm on the day she went missing.

She is described as around 5ft, 4ins tall, with brown shoulder-length hair and blue eyes.

A police spokesman added: “It is thought that Leah may have attended the Folkestone Harbour area over the Bank Holiday weekend and officers have been carrying out searches in the east of the town, including a search of the Warren area.

“Anyone who might have seen Leah or who has relevant information concerning her whereabouts since 5 May is urged to call 999 quoting reference 06-1197.”
