Man quizzed after fatal hit-and-run

POLICE were today still questioning a man in his early 20s in connection with the death of a teenager in a hit-and-run incident.

The 19-year-old victim was struck by a car at the bottom of Black Bull Road, Folkestone, at around 3.45am yesterday. The driver did not stop.

The victim, thought to have lived in Folkestone, was taken to Ashford's William Harvey Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police have not yet revealed his identity.

He was in collision with a dark sports car with a rear spoiler which sped off towards Bradstone Avenue.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward. They are asked to contact PC Jonathan Bowler at Folkestone Police Station on 0103 850055.
