Police probe blaze in three-storey building

Firefighters tackled a blaze at a three-storey building in Folkestone early on Monday.

Six engines were sent from Folkestone, Dover, Ashford, Hythe and Sturry, with crews wearing breathing apparatus tackling the blaze, which had broken out on the first floor shortly after 5am.

The building has a ground floor shop with flats above. All residents were accounted for and the fire was all out by 7.58am. Kent Police are investigating.
