A SECOND sponsor has signed up to back the thrilling charity zip wire event being staged at Folkestone racecourse.

Wilmoths Citroen in Folkestone has agreed to be one of the main sponsors of the Kent Charity Challenge Zip Wire event being held on Saturday, March 29.

The event will give a fund-raising boost to the Pilgrims Hospices in East Kent and children's road safety charity Kent Walking Bus and test the mettle of the people of Kent.

More than 100 people have so far requested event packs making this potentially the most successful KM supported charity challenge event ever staged in the county. There are still plenty of places available.

To request an event pack simply go to www.kmwalktoschool.co.uk Participants must be 18 or over and pledge to raise a minimum of £75 to take part in the challenge.

Bouverie Place Shopping Centre and Folkestone Racecourse are already sponsoring the event, but organizers are appealing for two more firms to come forward to cover the cost of the specialist equipment being hired in for the event.

With four Citroen franchises across the south of England, Wilmoths believes in involving itself with worthwhile projects in their local communities.

Kelvin Clayton, General Sales Manager at Wilmoths said "As a small family run business we aim to provide a service within our local area. Wilmoths Folkestone has achieved the the highest Citroen Customer Satisfaction Score in the country and supporting local projects enables us to practise what we preach.

"Pilgrims Hospices in East Kent and the children's road safety charity Walking Bus are excellent causes that we are very happy to support. I hope the community will take up this challenge and get involved, either by taking part or sponsoring someone taking part."

Businesses wanting to follow the lead of Wilmoths Citreon, Bouverie Place shopping centre and Folkestone Racecourse and sponsor the event should contact Simon Dolby on 07989 164 752.
