Folkestone Invicta announce new shirt sponsorship deal with M3 Solutions and plot their return to the Ryman League Premier Division

A week of financial good news stories has left Folkestone Invicta plotting their return to the Ryman League Premier Division sooner rather than later.

Invicta have declared themselves 'in the black', almost four years after they entered a Company Voluntary Agreement (CVA) to pay off debts totalling £195,000.

And a new five-figure shirt sponsorship deal with local firm M3 Solutions has further boosted the club’s bank balance and given manager Neil Cugley reason to believe they can start climbing the non-league pyramid again.

He said: "We can start to bring in better players, spend more on the team and that’s what people want.

"They want a team out there which is the best the club can afford.

"It’s nice for me as the manager and it’s the first time for a long time that I’ve been in this situation.

"It’s about being competitive at that level (Ryman Premier). It’s no good if you can’t compete with the big boys. We’re a big club and we’re lucky because we’ve got most things in place."
