Invicta have chance to climb table

Folkestone Invicta v Slough Town

FOLKESTONE Invicta play at home to Slough Town on Thursday and then play their last home match of the season against Staines Town on Saturday afternoon.

Neil Cugley's team currently sit just three points above the Ryman Premier Division relegation zone, but this is their game in hand and a win would see them climb three places to 14th in the table.

It will be another emtional few days for the club as Paul Sykes' funeral takes place at St Andrews Church in Buckland, Dover, at 1.30pm on Friday, followed by Barham Crematorium at 2.30pm.

Paul's wife Carly has said that all are welcome back at Stripes from 2.30pm onwards to have a drink and pay their respects.

Invicta's Player of the Year presentations will go ahead in the Invicta Bar above the changing rooms from 5pm on Saturday.

Kick off on Thursday is at 7.45pm.
