Kent Police appeal for information following car damage in Higham

A spate of damage to several cars in the same village has prompted an appeal by police for information.

Officers have received several reports of incidents in Higham in the last three weeks.

One was reported to have happened between 4.30pm on Friday, November 4, and 1pm on Saturday, November 5, when the bonnet of a car parked on Telegraph Hill was scratched.

Damage was also reported to have happened between 10.30pm on Tuesday, November 1, and 8am on Wednesday, November 2, two cars in Walmers Avenue, suffered scratches.

One was parked on a driveway and the other was on the road.

Inspector Chris Carter, of Kent Police, said: “Over the last month we have received several reports where cars parked on the road and driveways in Higham overnight have been scratched with a key or other implement.

“We have deployed additional officers to help prevent further incidents; however, I would be keen to hear from anybody who can tell us who has been causing this damage.”
