They threatened two workers inside and stole some cash at around 11.15pm on Friday with one offender said to be holding a weapon.

Police have launched an investigation but no arrests have been made.

The restaurant was forced to shut for breakfast and lunch the next day and issued an apology to customers for any inconvenience caused.

In an update yesterday, the restaurant posted: “”Thank you to our guests who contacted us with concern to check on the welfare of our team following our closure yesterday. Everyone is safe.

“We are now open and hope to see you again soon.”
