There are long delays on the A2 this morning at Gravesend after an accident.

A police spokesman said officers were called at 7.45am to a report of a collision on the Londonbound carriageway.

The incident involved two motorbikes and a car and happened just before the Pepper Hill turn off.

South East Coast Ambulance Service is at the scene.

The accident is now on the hard shoulder.

All lanes on the A2 have been re-opened.

Congestion leads back to the M2 at junction two for Strood and Higham.
