Motorists told to expect delays on the A2 in Gravesend after crash near Cobham services

A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash on the A2 in Gravesend this morning.

Police have attended two seperate collisions on the London bound carriageway this morning.

The first took place at 6.48am when three vehicles crashed in the outside lane between Cobham and Gravesend East.

A rolling road was put in place at Cobham with two lanes of traffic closed for two hours.

One man was taken to hospital by ambulance crews but his injuries were not described as life threatening.

Officers were also called to a two-car crash near the Cobham Services at 8.30am. Injuries sustained are thought to be minor.

Kent Highways have told motorists to expect delays.
