Gravesend duo charged with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine after being stopped in children's play area

A man and a woman have been charged after they were found with heroin, crack cocaine and a large kitchen knife.

Gravesham's community policing team were on a routine patrol when they received reports of drug dealing going on in Waterton Avenue, Gravesend, on Thursday, November 22.

The officers found around 100 wraps of what was believed to be heroin and crack cocaine when the pair were stopped, at around 5pm, in a children's play area.

Simphiwe Tibe, 25, and Andrea Szomsziova, 20, both of Romulus Road, Gravesend, were charged with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine.

Szomsziova was also charged with possession of a knife.

She was bailed upon charge and is due to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court on Friday, December 21.

Tibe was also bailed, but was arrested one day later - Saturday, November 24 - with assault, relating to a separate incident in the borough.

He was remanded and appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court today.
