A DISGRACED housing officer for Gravesham council has been convicted of being drunk and disorderly as she fought with another woman in a late night brawl outside a pub.

Sikdeep Chima, of Pier Road, Gravesend, was arrested by police on July 20 at 11.10pm outside the Pelham Arms pub as she lashed out at another woman.

Chima, 28, works for Gravesham Borough Council dealing with council tenant problems on the Kings Farm estate, including anti-social behaviour issues.

Sporting a black eye, Chima denied the charge on her first court appearance before Dartford Magistrates Court.

But at her second appearance Chima admitted she was guilty of the public order offence and was bound over for 18 months and fined £250.

The order means she can face further punishment for this act, if she commits another crime in the next 18 months.

Despite the conviction, a spokesman for Gravesham council said it had yet to decide what action to take.

He said: "Gravesham council has not yet received official notification of the conviction.

"We expect to receive this any day now. When we do, then we will decide what course of action to take. But so far, no action has been taken."
