A woman as treated for smoke inhalation after a fallen candle caused a fire in a bedroom this afternoon.

Firefighters were called to a house in Gravesend at around 2.30pm, and were able to prevent the fire from spreading through the property.

A woman aged in her 80s was treated for minor smoke inhalation by ambulance crews.

The fire caused some burn damage to a wooden cabinet, and further smoke damage to the house.

Crews were unable to further specify the location of the house.
