Fly-tipping spotted in Buckland Road and Lockyers Hill, Gravesend

Bedroom furniture, mattresses and even a huge wooden cable spool have been fly-tipped.

Police spotted the waste in Gravesham earlier today and tweeted about the issue.

Gravesham council has been made aware of the rubbish and it was awaiting collection, according to officers.

In Buckland Road, three mattresses, wooden bed slats and a bedroom lamp were left in the middle of a road.

Meanwhile in Lockyers Hill the patrol spotted what looked like more household waste including storage boxes and broken shelving.

Elsewhere, metal gating and a huge wooden spool was spotted in a country lane.

Gravesham council confirmed it would be clearing the waste.
