Garage and contents destroyed by flames

A car, motorbike, and a lawn mower went up in flames when a family's garage was burnt to the ground.

The detached wooden building went up in flames in Cobham this afternoon. It is thought to have been sparked by an eletrical fault but did not spread and no-one was injured.

Crews from Thames-side station, in Gravesend, spent about an hour dealing with the blaze, in Ifield Road, from about 3.20pm.

A firefighter said: "It was well alight when we got there and the garage was completely destroyed. Nothing was left."
