NEW plans in a £130 million town centre regeneration project have gone before the public for the first time.

The new Gravesend Heritage Quarter model includes an "iconic" skyscraper on the riverfront, and two town squares with cafe-style seating.

There is provision for 600 flats and retail, restaurant and office space.

Developer, Edinburgh House, is holding a three-day public consultation at Towncentric in Gravesend between 10-5pm until Saturday November 17.

It plans to submit a planning application to the council in January.
