Mr Johnson's family's barrister advocated for the inquest to be held in front of a jury due to him being in contact with the police in the hours leading up to his death.

Presiding over the pre-inquest review, coroner Alan Blunsdon, said: "I will summon a jury in this case."

No date has been fixed for the inquest but it is due to take place in September or October.

It will happen at the Archbishop's Palace or the Guildhall, Sandwich.

Tributes were made to Mr Johnson on Facebook following his death.

Daughter Lauren Bonner wrote: "RIP Daddy you left a hole in my life that will never be filled and my heart is broken I wish this was a bad dream and that soon I would wake up x I love your forever x x x"
