Man attacked in unprovoked park assault

A 20-year-old has been attacked during an unprovoked assault in a park in Gravesend.

The man was with friends and family when he was assaulted by a group of young white men in their late teens close to the tennis courts in the recreation ground, off Cedar Avenue.

He suffered minor grazing and bruises.

DC Dave Preston said: "It was a warm and sunny Sunday and I believe there would have been many other people at the recreation ground who may have witnessed what happened.

"I would ask them to come forward with any information they have which may help us find those responsible for this physical attack."

The incident happened at around 4.30pm on Sunday, April 10 but police only issued details about it today.

Anyone with information should call 01474 366182 or Kent Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
