Gravesend man arrested on suspicion of murder

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after an alleged altercation at a home over the weekend.

The 28-year-old, from Gravesend, was arrested last night (Sunday) and remains in custody at this time.

It follows the death of a 31-year-old man who was found with head and stomach injuries in St Patrick’s Gardens, Gravesend, at around 8pm on Saturday.

The victim, who was from the Cranbrook area, was taken to King's College Hospital for treatment but died yesterday morning.

The victim is believed to have travelled to the scene in a black people carrier type car following an incident at a private address in Taunton Vale, Gravesend.

Officers are continuing their enquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

Formal identification of the victim has not yet taken place.
