Piggyback rider robbed in street

A 24-year-old woman had her handbag snatched while she was being given a piggyback home by her boyfriend.

Police say a man grabbed the expensive Prada handbag, containing a Motorola mobile phone,

as he ran past the couple.

At first the woman's boyfriend was able to hold onto the bag but the offender continued to pull it, causing them both to fall to the ground. The woman suffered a bruised knee.

The incident happened at the junction with Cobham Street on the Wrotham Road at Gravesend, on June 10 between 1.50am and 2.15am. The offender ran off with the bag towards Darnley Road.

The robber is described as white and about 5ft 7ins tall. He was wearing a white hat and a white long sleeved top.
