Northfleet man charged after drugs found in High Street kitchen fittings

A man has been charged after suspected crack cocaine and heroin were found hidden in a kitchen.

Officers raided a property in Northfleet High Street, near Gravesend, where they discovered what they believe to be Class A drugs in the room’s fittings.

The find was made on Friday, November 10 and constables also seized several mobile phones, various drug paraphernalia, and cash.

Jerome Saunders, 21, of High Street, Northfleet, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine as well as possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine.

He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, November 11, where he was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Woolwich Crown Court on Friday, December 8.

A woman who was arrested as part of the investigation has been released on bail until Saturday, February 10.
