Stars and their supercars
start race in Cobham

A Gravesham village got the star factor when several celebrities
revved up for the start of a car race.

Strictly Come Dancing's Brendan Cole and singer Chesney Hawkes
were among the stars who descended on Cobham's Leather Bottle pub
for the One Hundred Membership Celebrity Supercar Challenge.

The teams will travel 1,000 miles from Cobham to Dover and then
on to the Le Mans 24-hour race.

They will need to complete 12 challenges to gain points, one of
which involves them turning up at a garage and asking to test-drive
their cheapest car.

The winning team will get to donate an undisclosed sum of money
to the charity of their choice.

The One Hundred Membership is an exclusive group founded in 2007
with 100 honouree members.
