Woman held in custody after Gravesend burglary

A woman is being held in custody after being charged with burgling a home in Gravesend.

Rose Riply is alleged to have entered the victim’s property, in Clarence Row, on Thursday February 7 after talking her way into the home.

A bank card is then reported to have been stolen from the address before being used in two fraudulent transactions on the same day.

Riply, of Watling Street in Dartford, was arrested on suspicion of committing the offences on Tuesday March 5.

The 28-year-old has since been charged with burglary and two counts of fraud by false representation.

She was remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday March 6.

At the hearing she was further remanded in custody and will next appear at Woolwich Crown Court on Wednesday April 3.
