Young man hurt in gang attack

A MAN was punched in the face several times after being grabbed by a group of men who tried to steal his wallet.

The 24-year-old victim was approached by the gang after parking his car in Cliftonville Road, Gravesend.

He noticed a group of four men smoking in the street who began to follow him.

One of the gang asked him for money and he was attacked when he said he didn't have any. He suffered cuts and bruising.

His pockets were searched and his wallet taken. The group ran off when they found his wallet contained no cash.

The man who spoke to the victim is described as Asian, 6ft tall, clean-shaven with medium-length black hair.
