Fleet boss demands repeat display

DAISH: "We have got to realise that we’ve got to put in the same effort"

Northwich Victoria v Gravesend & Northfleet

MANAGER Liam Daish believes Gravesend & Northfleet’s match against Northwich Victoria on Saturday is bigger than the club’s win over Oxford United.

Onome Sodje’s second-half strike was enough to secure Fleet a 1-0 success over the league leaders last Saturday and move the side back into the play-off places.

Daish was delighted with the team’s work-rate in the victory at Stonebridge Road and has called on his players to build on the performance.

Daish said: "It’s a massive game because we were up for the match against Oxford. I want to see what our desire is, with all due respect, to win against a less glamorous club.

"We have got to realise that we’ve got to put in the same effort, the same desire and the same work-rate for each other as we did against Oxford."

Robert Quinn is available again after serving a one-match suspension against Oxford.
