Eastbourne 0 Ebbsfleet 1

Michael Gash scored the only goal of the game to claw Ebbsfleet out of the Blue Square Premier relegation zone at Eastbourne on Thursday.

Gash pounced from close range on 56 minutes after being set up by a Luke Moore header.

It was the Fleet's second victory in as many days - after a 1-0 success over Altrincham on Tuesday - and lifted the club to 16th in the table, four points above the drop zone with games in hand on the teams around them.

Liam Daish's side go in search of a third straight win when they welcome Northwich Victoria to Stonebridge Road on Saturday.

Fleet: Cronin, Crooks, Smith, McCarthy, Long (Opinel 90), Gash, Martin, Ricketts, Shakes (Slatter 90), Moore (Purcell 72), Charles. Subs not used: Mott, West.

Attendance: 919.
