Danny Haynes leaving Ebbsfleet United by mutual consent and Preston Edwards set to join Dulwich Hamlet

Danny Haynes has become the third player to leave Ebbsfleet United this summer.

The 28-year-old former Ipswich and Charlton winger joined Fleet last August but started only nine league games and finished the season on loan at Boreham Wood.

Haynes is leaving the club by mutual consent having made a total of 31 appearances - 20 of those as a substitute - and scored three goals for Daryl McMahon's side.

Also on his way out of Stonebridge Road is goalkeeper Preston Edwards.

Edwards spent the whole of last season out on loan after McMahon chose Brandon Hall as his No.1 in pre-season.

Having started the campaign with National League newcomers Boreham Wood, Edwards was recalled by Fleet and sent out to Dulwich Hamlet in the Ryman League Premier Division.

Edwards, who played more than 200 times for Ebbsfleet across four seasons, helped Dulwich reach the play-off final and he's now signed a pre-contract agreement to join them on a permanent basis.

Fleet have also confirmed the departure of Alex Osborn to Margate.
