TV hitch knocks out Dhami's comeback

HARRY DHAMI: more time to prepare

HARRY DHAMI'S long-awaited comeback has been put on hold until the beginning of July.

The Gravesend-based boxer last fought in December 2001 when he was knocked out by Neil Sinclair in the third defence of his British welterweight title but was due to be in action on Saturday.

But after problems with TV scheduling the show has been cancelled and Dhami is now expected to have his first fight on July 5.

Dhami was unperturbed by the delay. He said: "I'm still working hard in the gym and this will give me more time to prepare and will make me hungrier than ever."
