Car hits fence on A291 between Herne Bay and Canterbury

A car has left the road and ploughed through a fence on a road named the most dangerous in Kent.

Police were called at 1.13pm to the collision on the A291 between Canterbury and Herne Bay.

The car had left the road at Herne Common near the Wildwood wildlife park.

No injuries were reported.

Last year, research found the A291 was Kent's most dangerous road, with 19 serious or fatal accidents recorded between 2008 and 2013.
