Nuisance quad bikers warned vehicle could be seized

A quad bike owner has been warned if they or anyone else rides it improperly, they run the risk of having it seized.

The police caution follows a number of complaints by members of the public at Burton Fields park at Thundersland Road, Herne Bay, about the vehicle and how it was being ridden.

Police community support officers went to the site on Tuesday after further calls from residents, and found the owner, a 16-year-old local boy, had allowed his 28-year-old sister to ride the bike.

She was issued with a section 59 warning, as was the vehicle, meaning that if she or anyone rides in that manner again, it could be seized.
