A woman in her 30s has died after the car she was driving left a carriageway and crashed late at night.
Police are appealing for information after the tragic incident in Herne Bay .
The woman had been driving a black Peugeot 3008 along the A291, Canterbury Road, towards the roundabout at the junction with the A299 Thanet Way, when it left the carriageway and overturned at about 10.30pm yesterday.
Witnesses reported seeing a huge emergency response, as police, ambulances and the fire service rushed to the scene along with an air ambulance.
The woman was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.
Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are now carrying out enquiries and would like to speak with anyone who has information that could help with their investigation.
They are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen either the collision or the vehicle in the moments leading up to it.
Officers would also like to obtain dash camera footage, or any privately held CCTV footage that captures this incident.
