Bay Wanderers from the Herne Bay and Whitstable Sunday League, trailed at half-time against Red Arrow but responded well to turn this Kent Junior Trophy tie on its head after the restart.

The second-half turnaround was due to a rocket from Sam Pooley. This inspired his teammates into life and Will Wooton, Joe Hitchings and Stuart King (2) got the goals.

Bridge breezed past Preston Hailings 4-0. John Wood was on great form, scoring twice, while Phil Punyer and Tyler Cosier secured the win.

It wasn’t such good news for Falcons. They went down 8-4 at home to Hotel De Ville. Guy Connelly (3) and Mat Redmayne got their goals.

It was also a bad day for New Rangers. They played Centre Spot at home in a tight match which finished 0-0 after 90 minutes.

Neither team could find a breakthrough during the 30 minutes of extra time so penalties followed and it was Centre Spot who won through 3-2.
