Colliision on M20 between Junction 11 and 10 turnoffs for Ashford and Hythe

A car is understood to have overturned in a rush-hour crash on the M20.

The collision was on the London-bound carriageway between Junction 11 for Hythe and Junction 10 for Ashford.

All traffic had to be held while the emergency services, including police, medics and fire crews, helped those involved.

A fire brigade spokesman said: “Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called at 6.21pm to reports of a crash on the M20 London-bound.

“Three fire engines attended, however no action was required from crews.”

Firefighters left after just over 20 minutes.

By 7.11pm National Highways South East tweeted that traffic, that had been held up, had been freed to move on.
