Boom firm is university choice

UNIVERSITY chiefs in Medway have turned to a fast-growing firm to fit out their colleges. Spectrum has worked with the University of Greenwich since 1996 and recently landed a six-figure contract to fit out Anson and Grenville colleges. This includes new science laboratories.

Spectrum has seen turnover grow from zero to £61 million in the past five years. Noel DeBruin, the firm's head of corporate development was at the recent MIPIM property show in Cannes, France. He said the partnership with the university was working very well.

He hoped this would continue in the future, especially when the new "Universities" project - a Government-backed deal between the University of Kent, University of Greenwich and Mid Kent College - gets underway.
