Homes boss to quit after 12 years

HOUSING chief Roger Hill is stepping down later this year.

Mr Hill, 59, is chief executive of mhs homes, formerly Medway Housing Society, which in 1990 took over Rochester upon Medway council's housing stock.

He said that after 12 years at the helm, it was the right time for the company to have "a new impetus".

mhs homes is the only large-scale voluntary transfer not registered with the Housing Corporation.

Mr Hill said: "It's been a privilege and a challenge to work in an organisation that makes its own way without the involvement of the Housing Corporation."
