It’s never too late to learn.

That’s a belief that Broadstairs College holds dear, and people of all ages are invited to swing by to see how they can explore a subject of their choice.

.

As the county continues to recover from the pandemic, more people than ever are looking to retrain and change their career or start a new hobby.

On Thursday, February 24, from 5pm to 7pm, anyone aged 19 and over is invited to visit the Ramsgate Road campus to meet the tutors and get a taste for the site and its facilities.

The college boasts a wide range of subjects taught in adult-only classes that offer the opportunity to make new friends and enjoy top quality tutelage.

Moreover, many courses are part-time, meaning they are perfectly suited to those with time constraints due to work and family.

.

The college’s tutors are not just friendly but also come from careers in the field they teach, meaning they will produce lessons that are relevant, useful and informative.

There are more subjects than ever this year, meaning that potential learners will be able to specialise like never before.

As well as a breadth of Level 2 and 3 qualifications, the college is offering full-time higher education qualifications in Computing and part-time GCSE Science, Maths and English courses. Maths and English are qualifications asked for by employers and required for entry onto many other courses, which is why they offer these free at GCSE level to those without a 4 or C grade.

Kurt Salter, Broadstairs College Principal, said: “We’re incredibly passionate about opening up educational opportunities to everyone in the community, regardless of age or previous experience in the subject.

.

“Our part-time and short adult courses offer a wealth of knowledge to those looking to retrain, hone existing skills or simply to take up a new interest.

“By coming to our open evening on February 24, you’ll see for yourself that our tutors are driven to help every one of their students excel.”
