THE Institute of Directors Kent Association of Young Entrepreneurs (KAYE) has received a boost with the news that 10 employees of Kent County Council are joining the organisation.

KAYE, which was launched almost 18 months ago, aims to support business people aged between 18 and 35 who are either business owners or young professionals – providing a networking and marketing forum.

The latest recruits bring KAYE’s total members to 80, all of whom come from a wide range of professions. The KCC members alone cover a variety of sectors including tourism, education and economic development.

Alyson Howard, chairman of the Kent branch of the IoD, said: "We are delighted to receive the support of Kent County Council and 10 new members. Working in the public sector, I am sure they will bring new experiences to share."

The next networking evening is an informal Christmas event on Thursday, December 15 at 5:30pm at the Spitfire pub, Kings Hill, West Malling.
