FINDING new business premises in Kent will now be easier. Business people will not even have to leave their desks, all they have to do is log on to Locate in Kent.

The inward investment agency for Kent and Medway has teamed up with CPD a provider of database and website design.

Via www.locateinkent.com visitors can identify commercial property by area in Kent as well as by size and type.

Paul Wookey, chief executive of Locate in Kent, said: "Last year our website attracted close to 500,000 hits and generated more than 200 specific inquiries.

"It is now a vital tool in our efforts to attract new companies and jobs to the area. Of the 28 businesses we attracted last year, five made their initial inquiry through the website.

"We are confident that the addition of the searchable database will increase the number and quality of inquiries, as well as helping local businesses to find new premises in which to grow."
