More firms sign up for Jobs Fair

THE list of exhibitors at the forthcoming Job Fair 2002 in Maidstone continues to grow.

The event, from Monday to Wednesday, February 11 to 13, will showcase a range of organisations all aiming to broaden the occupational horizons of local people.

Employers, recruitment agencies and training providers, as well as representatives from the employment and careers guidance services, will be taking part.

Those expected to attend include:

Adecco; Best Training; County Home Care; Earl Street Employment Consultants; Employment Service; Enterprise Training, Maidstone; Hayes Accountancy Personnel; Invicta Community Care; Kent County Constabulary; Kent County Council; Kent Messenger Group; Mid-Kent College of Further and Higher Education; Tibbett and Britten; Tomorrow's People.

Town centre manager David Spink has been organising Job Fair 2002, which will be held on the third floor of the Chequers Shopping Centre, Maidstone.

He said: "We're expecting a high volume of people coming through who are already employed but might be looking for a change.

"The point is, we're here in the middle of town which just makes it so much easier for people to pop in on their way to or from work or in their lunch hour."
