Wilf Banfield, 47, is the new managing director of EuroCareer Consultants, the Tunbridge Wells based firm of career management and outplacement consultants.

Wilf, married with two children, is a highly experienced human resources director who has worked as a member of senior executive teams across several commercial sectors.

His career began in 1973 as a management trainee with British Airways where he specialised in industrial relations and HR.

In 1984, he joined the Plessey Electronics Group and three years later became head of HR operations for NPI, Tunbridge Wells.

At NPI, he specialised in mergers and acquisitions, large scale redundancy and relocation programmes.

Steve Edwards, who founded the business in 1991 and continues as an active director of the company, said: "EuroCareer Consultants has expanded tremendously and Wilf, with his vast experience in HR matters, is the ideal person to take the company forward."
