Safety away from home

THE company which owns Dover's newest hotel has joined forces with the Suzy Lamplugh Trust to promote personal safety issues to business travellers.

Research commissioned by Premier Lodge revealed that 37 per cent of businesswomen from the south east were anxious about their personal safety when staying away from home, while 76 per cent of local people would be influenced by hotel groups which made customer safety a priority.

A new safety leaflet has been produced which specifically targets business travellers and copies will be available at Premier Lodge hotels, including the one on Dover seafront.

Long-term, both Premier Lodge and the Suzy Lamplugh trust would like to see the introduction of a Safety Award for hotels and hotel groups which make safety policies and procedures a high priority.
