EKC Group’s Dover Technical College is leading the way as the only education provider in the area to offer a T Level in Digital Support, providing a fast-track route into the growing information technology and telecommunications industry which is estimated to create around 90,000 jobs by 2027.

The two-year qualification is backed by employers and boasts an innovative hands-on learning experience complete with a 45-day work placement, essential for impressing employers and securing top job opportunities.

The T Level offers a broad and varied curriculum which has been designed in collaboration with leading digital companies, equipping young people with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in their chosen careers.

With the average annual salary of those working in information technology and telecommunications roles standing at £41,080 and rising to £76,440 for directors, there’s fantastic earning potential for individuals with key digital support skills.

Students who successfully complete their T Level will receive a qualification equivalent to three A Levels, opening up a wide range of progression opportunities.

These include, entering employment, going to university, or continuing their education through an apprenticeship or additional technical or vocational training.

Nat Lively, who took part in a pilot scheme ahead of the T Level launch, commented: “The T Level was a unique opportunity which allowed me to undertake relevant work experience in my field, letting me understand aspects of my course when applied in a practical setting.

“Because I worked with a company for an extended period of time, they were able to get to know me and my work style - and I was offered full-time employment after completing my course.”
