A newly-launched Kent wealth management brand is hoping for a sunny future - as it takes on new staff and opens premises in the Mediterranean.

AV Trinity was launched after Tunbridge Wells-based Alexander-Vidler acquired Norwich-based Trinity Financial Planning earlier this year.

Chairman Richard Alexander said the company had been increasing staff gradually. It now employs 24 advisers and support staff at its Mount Ephraim offices, with a further five in Norwich and is planning to take on a further six.

New premises near Palma, Majorca are now operating, targeting the financial needs of the ex-pat community. The office will eventually deal with business in mainland Spain, Portugal and Gibraltar, as well as France.

Mr Alexander, who has been involved with the company for 25 years, said the credit crunch had not damaged trade.

He said: "Our clients value what we do now even more than they do in the good times."

Mr Alexander was joined in 1996 by managing director Karen Vidler.

The new AV Trinity brand was launched with a casino night for 80 at the company's premises at Mount Ephraim.
