On the back of four successive victories Gillingham supporters are in confident mood - our panel of fans are predicting three points from the League 2 game against Stevenage on Saturday. Here is what they think.

MARK FELLOWES

Ashford

"After watching Gillingham against Port Vale, I find myself confident for the game against Stevenage.

"Gillingham looked comfortable against the team fighting for first place and are beginning to look like the side well fancied for promotion at the start of the season.

"Akinfenwa and McDonald are both in good form at the moment and I expect that to continue."

Prediction: Gillingham 2 Stevenage 0

MALCOLM SMITH

Grimsby

"Who would have thought following the Dover and Crewe defeats that we would then go on a four-game unbeaten run and undefeated in December – with a little help from the elements!

"On current form we should walk the Stevenage game but the hope must now be that we don’t become over confident.

"Our home form still needs work and with an away trip to Wycombe on Monday (where we never seem to do well), three points is essential to continue our climb.

"Mr Scally joked with Hess that he doesn’t want us higher than sixth as he’ll have to start paying bonuses. I’m glad this is becoming a possibility and the sooner we reach top six, the better!"

Prediction: Gillingham 2 Stevenage 1

JULIAN HART

"What more of a Gills Christmas present could we all ask for? A great win over a team second in the league.

Danny Spiller

"For me, Spiller (pictured), Bayo and Cody McDonald were the ultimate key. Spiller never stopped going for it during the game and Bayo and Cody performed perfectly together.

"The loose connection was probably Maher and Weston in the first half before he (Weston) changed his boots.

"Maher didn’t have a bad game but he seemed sloppy at times or non existent. Weston was sloppy with passes and touches but he changed his boots and seemed better.

"Now we take on Stevenage and if we get points, then we are looking good for going up into the play-offs in the new year.

"Top by Easter! Come on you blue boys!"

Prediction: Gillingham 2 Stevenage 1

DAVID ELLIOTT

After a great win against a useful looking Port Vale side we must now look for the consistancy we have lacked so far.

It was great to see Barcham and Weston back, though we must be patient, as they are both still far from the players we know they can be.

For me there are still two key positions we need to address, though it is looking unlikely any funds will be available for any new faces in January. We have probably the biggest squad in this division and with several key players now returning to fitness there is no reason not to be optimistic. However, Stevenage will not be a pushovers and our history suggests having beaten Port Vale we will then lose to a lower placed side. So time to rewrite the history books.

Hess must surely be a manager-of-the-month contender for December with four straight wins. With the confidence now restored we should have enough quality to take all three points.

Prediction: Gillingham 2 Stevenage 1

Onto Stevenage and I cannot see Gillingham conceivably losing this one as we are the form team in the division and our confidence is sky high. We are keeping clean sheets yet have scored seven goals in the last two matches!

With yet more players coming back from injury, I can see Barcham starting maybe along with Weston and Payne and hopefully a cameo appearance from Kingy when we are up by a few goals!

I think that we will win 4-1 with Barcham scoring along with Cody McDonald and a brace from big Bayo Akinfenwa (pictured).

Prediction: Gillingham 4 Stevenage 1

PAUL LYME

Stevenage fan

"In our first season in the league, things could have gone better but then again they could be a lot worse and if we ended the season where we are now we would be happy.

"We’ve got one of the best defences in the division and John Ashton back there has been rock solid.

"We haven’t scored too many goals, though, and with Holroyd (top scorer) gone back to Brighton, it may give Charlie Griffin a chance to pick up a few goals.

"At the moment we seem to be playing better away from home and it would be nice to pick up a point at Gillingham.

"The team are currently playing quite defensively and are physical but we can mix it up and play decent football when we want to and equally play it long if needed. It would just be nice to see some more goals."

Prediction: Gills 1 Stevenage 1
