Away from the vajazzles, fake boobs and sorting out her cousin Joey Essex, Chloe Sims has been hiding a difficult upbringing on The Only Way Is Essex.

“My book will reveal the truth about my life for the first time,” said the former Playboy model and mother of six-year-old Madison, whose autobiography addresses her troubled life before the show.

“There have been surprising lows in my life as well as amazing highs and everything I have written comes from the heart.”

Having become a favourite on ITV2 show Towie, thanks to her down-to-earth manner, fans can read about Chloe’s painful childhood, her first big romance and her much-talked about plastic surgery.

From her turbulent childhood where she was raised by a neighbour after her mother abandoned her, to battling with bullies and combating an eating disorder, the book tells the story of a struggling single parent until she joined the hit show which propelled her to fame in 2011.

After being moved to tears on the last series when she split up with a secret boyfriend, Chloe, 31, has quickly found love again, being photographed in the papers with nightclub promoter Darrell Privett.

Next on the agenda are a number of visits to Kent to promote her book.

She will be meeting fans and signing copies of her book in Rochester at the City Wall wine bar between 5pm and 6pm on Saturday, November 17.
