The London-bound A20 between Dover and Folkestone was closed after a crash involving two lorries.

A livestock truck was involved and the accident - which happened at around 3.40am Friday - caused a disel spillage.

A Kent police spokesman said: "One of the drivers sustained minor injuries, the other suffered from shock.

"One of the lorries was loaded with cattle, although it is not known at this stage if any were injured."

The road was closed between the York Street roundabout and the B2011 Court Wood interchange. Traffic heading out of Dover was being directed onto the A2.

The spokesman said the road was due to reopen shortly after 8.15am.
